Interracial Relationships: The False Rumors and Myths

It has been a real bummer to hear all the hatred interracial relationships has received for many years. Many people have their pre-conceived notions about race and draw baseless, inaccurate conclusions on that alone and all without finding out what the person is really like. The interracial dating myths irk me more than anything. Not everyone fits a stereotype, in fact I dare say most people don't. Love is color blind, when you feel it it's like nothing you've ever experienced, and you can't help who you feel it for. Let's get a few things out in the open:

-Not all white men that marry asian women do so out of an asian fetish or because they want a "submissive" woman.

-Not all black men date/marry white or non-black women for a fetish or because he wants her as a "trophy"

-Not all black women date/marry white or non-black men to feel validated or because she wants "pretty babies", and the guy isn't always with her because he has "jungle fever".

-Love is a factor in most relationships. One cannot ignore the impact having strong felings for someone has. It can make you do things you'd never think you'd do, like move to another country or even leave your family behind if they object to your relationship. People shouldn't judge when they have such a limitd view from the outside and aren't looking IN the relationship itself. Love and peace to all.

Interracial Love On The Rise

I'm glad that interracial love is getting more popular as time goes on. I really hope that more people decide to find love outside the race. I am an advocate for finding love in all colors, black, white, hispanic, asian, and so on. The key to breaking racial barriers when it comes to love and overall human relations is to take risks. To find love is to find a part of yourself, and if that is in a person of another color, I say go for it. Life is too short to wonder what if, you have to try to see for yourself. Love and peace in the world can only come to fruition when people can look past aesthetics and culture and see everyone as they truly are, human.

I must say this is a union I have longed to see for some time now and I'm pleased to say I see it more and more these days. It is a bit disheartening that it is taking so long for it to come into full bloom here in the U.S., but I'm more than glad to say that it is increasing, and the sooner the better. Also in every other part of the world black women and white/non-black men unions are quite common. Once it happens here as often as in certain other countries, there will be no place left for anyone to say they've never seen a black women and white man/non-black man holding hands as a couple.

Why has this particular union been under the microscope as of late? Well, in my opinion, it's mainly because it is believed that asian women and white men intermarry more than any other mixed race variant in the world. If that is true, that is nothing short of mindblowing, and great news to me, since I'm glad to see interracial unions like these.
